Black Kids
Relaxing back home in Florida after an Australian tour, bass player of the Black Kids took a moment to share the whirlwind of the past year with Nicole Wurzell. Black Kids went from showcasing local shows in Jacksonville to playing one fateful performance at Athens Popfest in Georgia, August 2007. Overnight they received rave reviews from “NME,” “Village Voice,” “Pitchfork” and “Rolling Stone” heralded them as one of ten “Artists to Watch” in 2008. Since then Black Kids have made names for themselves as a creative band whose songs are as original as they are infectious.
